I was really bored oneday ater playing final fantasy 7 for 22 hours. I had the sudden impulse to make a candle. I think is cause i like burning things... anyways, I made this out of a coconut. I bought the coconut a year and a half ago. Tapped it only to find it had fermented at the store. broke in a brand new chop saw by cutting the top off. Debated making it into a gobblet but Erin kept saying that she would nver drink out of somthign that had mold growing on the walls.

Yesterday i got out my Dremel tool, wirebrushed the debris out of the coconut, attached the top of he coconut to the bottom making a base, and filled it with LIQUID HOT MAGAMA... Ok i filled it with wax but, only after i mixed a cap load of cinnamon into the wax.

I am debating selling these.

Neat, Kyle. Does it smell like cinnamon when you burn it? I don't do candles too much, otherwise I'd say I'd buy one. lol Is it just hot glue to attach the top as the base?

Had you decided to make a goblet, would there be a way to "seal" it with something that wouldn't make you sick if you drank out of it, but would keep it from rotting or the current mold at bay? lol

it smells like cinnomon when its not burning. my olfactory sensors are shot though so i cant smell it when its burning. when the picture was taken i had wood glue holding it together. but right now there is a huge wad of epoxy. the wood glue couldn't hold it well enough. i broke it.

i could seal it with poly eurathane. and the mold is gone. i got rid of it all. but yeah you could drink out of it and it would be dishwasher safe
